Threshold Services' mission is to help people with mental illness or co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders to lead fulfilling lives by providing treatment, rehabilitation and housing, and by promoting a caring community through advocacy and education.
History
In 1981, Threshold Services is incorporated to provide housing and assistance for people leaving State psychiatric hospitals.

Pastor Donell Peterman
The Joshua Group Ministries
 Pastor Donell Peterman is the founding pastor of The Joshua Group Ministries (TJGM) in Silver Spring, an interdenominational ministry where people can experience spiritual growth and commitment to community development. Founded just six years ago by Pastor Peterman, TJGM has over 500 members and 17 active outreach ministries. Pastor Peterman joined Threshold Services' Board of Directors in 2002, and since then he has been a very active member. He resides in Silver Spring, Maryland.
