VOLUNTEERING
- Gain valuable experience by helping others!
- Decorate your resume!
- Make profitable contacts in the mental health field!
Volunteers play a key role in keeping Threshold Services connected with the community. They offer empathy and understanding to a troubled person, teaching independent learning skills to those in need. They lend an extra hand during busy times or help out with a fundraising event, turning it into a big success.
Threshold Services' volunteers receive training and orientation about mental illness, get the chance to work in a team of professionals, build important relationships with mental health professionals. Most importantly, they help someone with mental illness achieve seemingly unachievable goals.
If you would like to volunteer, please download and complete the application paperwork. If you have questions about volunteering please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at (301) 754-1102, ext. 15.
